The Fashion Designers’ & Craft Makers’ (FDC) are looking for exceptionally gifted young fashion designers who have excelled creatively and have the potential to be the next big stars of the international fashion stage. That sounds like you? Perfect!
What do I have to do?
Designers who wish to enter have to produce a personal profile, a mini profile on a chosen iconic fashion designer, a storyboard and produce one innovative, avant-garde, creative, cutting edge or couture garment or collection.
The young designer award UK (9-25 years)
The brief is to design and produce one garment inspired by the life and work of the great British designer Alexander McQueen.
The radical designer award UK (21-25 years)
The brief is to design and produce a mini collection or enter a current avant-garde collection; the prize is to be up for the opportunity to debut a collection in Vancouver Fashion Week.
The young designer award USA (9-25 years)
The brief is to design and produce one garment inspired by the fashion and times of the 1920’s; the prize is to be up for a chance to be part of a showcase in New York City next year.
The emerging designer award (9-29 years)
The brief is to design and produce one garment or a mini collection or enter a mini collection; the prize is a place to show a full collection in New York City.

Participation fees start at £49 / approx. $70 + Eventbrite booking fee. You can book your spot here.
